Learn About the 2020 Census
The data collection phase of the 2020 Census ended on Thursday, October 15, 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting disruption provided significant challenges to data collection.The Census Bureau had to delay field operations and extend their data collection deadline. "Minnesota finished with the number 1 overall self-response rate with 75.1% of Minnesota households responding to the census on their own. This is a full 1% above our 2010 self-response rate and 2.7% above 2nd place Washington State and, more importantly, 2.9% above 3rd place Wisconsin."

Counting College Students Fact Sheet
If you live in student housing on or off campus, the Census Bureau will work with Residential Life to get your census data. Even if you are away from campus because of  COVID-19, you will be counted at the student housing where you usually live.
