Why contribute to The Repository at St. Cloud State University?
- Increased visibility: Works placed in the Repository are more easily discovered. The Repository expands access to your content, making it available through common Internet search engines and other academic search portals, providing wider distribution of your scholarly or creative productions. No pay walls block content.
- Permanence: The Repository makes the scholarship of SCSU students and faculty available in one stable location online, and provides a stable URL to your content so your scholarship or creative work can be found and cited.
- Archiving: The Repository provides a single digital archive of your work and relieves you or your department of the need to manage and upgrade digital files to keep up with technology.
- E-Publishing: The Repository facilitates management of electronic journals, newsletters, and conferences. For example: Linguistic Portfolios and Survive & Thrive.
- Grant requirements: Submitting your work to The Repository can help fulfill the data-sharing expectations of some grants.

The Repository accepts all forms of faculty and student scholarship and creative works in digital format. As of August 2020, a new collection development policy is in-progress.
